It announced Sept. 27 that new services in Brazil combine local support, new teleport facilities, and broader satellite coverage to deliver connectivity services to more users across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Intelsat will be using its Intelsat 46e and Galaxy 28 satellites, positioned over Brazil and Latin America, to provide reliable connectivity supporting enterprise, mobile network operator (MNO), media and commercial aviation customers. Its new teleport facility is located outside of Rio de Janeiro, and the facility expands Intelsat\u2019s existing global network and enables direct connections between Intelsat satellites and Brazil\u2019s local terrestrial networks to reduce the distance user Internet traffic has to travel.<\/p>\n<p>Intelsat has also expanded its operational center, as it looks to support customers. It\u2019s Brazil network operations center has grown in staff to deliver better support for regional customers, offering 24\/7 access to support representatives fluent in five languages including Brazilian Portuguese.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe combination of more satellite capacity, a new teleport and an operations center make it easier for our customers to deliver higher quality services to more users throughout Brazil.
