Planet announced the acquisition in March of this year.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sinergise makes the technology that powers the Sentinel Hub API that makes Sentinel and Landsat satellite data accessible. Planet said it is committed to supporting the Earth Observation market with growing capabilities and an open standard for greater interoperability in the global user community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Planet said that the Sinergise team will become part of the company\u2019s operations in Europe and Planet will maintain two additional offices in Europe in Slovenia and Austria.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This comes after Planet announced laying off about 10% of its team earlier this month to focus on opportunities with the highest return on investment. Planet\u2019s business is growing, but the company cut its growth forecast for the current fiscal year from 35% year-over-year growth to 20%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is Planet\u2019s sixth acquisition.
