Skylo<\/b> has signed another deal with an IoT tech company, partnering with Soracom<\/b> to provide its satellite IoT through the company\u2019s cloud-based IoT network management. Soracom said this collaboration gives its customers building IoT solutions and M2M devices access to Skylo\u2019s direct-to-device 3GPP non-terrestrial network (NTN) connectivity, along with Soracom\u2019s fully-virtualized cellular platform.<\/p>\n
Soracom is embracing satellite IoT and last year added Astrocast\u2019s satellite connectivity to its platform. <\/p>\n
The companies said this partnership will combine Soracom protocol conversion and authentication offloading features, so customers can minimize the amount of data transmitted over the satellite link while maintaining integration with a cloud service of their choice.<\/p>\n

Skylo has a number of recent partnerships in the IoT space, with a recent deal for a certification program with Keysight Technologies, IoT modems with Qualcomm, and floLive\u2019s IoT data network.<\/p>\n
