Spire Global<\/b> is launching a new weather insights platform for the maritime industry, to deliver analysis with data from the company\u2019s satellites to maritime customers. <\/p>\n
Spire can make 15-day global weather forecasts with its data from space. The company said its APIs can sync with its other global datasets, including global maritime AIS positional data, vessel characteristics and port events.<\/p>\n
The company has partnered with maritime tech company Theyr on its algorithm. The platform can recommend route options based on different constraints like fuel or arrival time. The company said it can combine different types of data to a single calculation that maritime customers can use to reduce fuel consumption, minimize emissions, and enhance safety.<\/p>\n

Spire is currently at risk of its shares being delisted from the New York Stock Exchange due to the average closing price of the company\u2019s stock.
