This is Lynk\u2019s second commercial contract with mobile network operator <b>Telecel Group<\/b> in Africa, following an agreement with <b>Telecel Centrafrique<\/b> in the Central African Republic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lynk\u2019s service will expand Telecel Group\u2019s coverage to more than 6 million Vodafone Ghana subscribers and will be utilized for extending rural coverage, including Maritime Economic Zone, as a backup to ensure service resilience, continuity of IoT devices, and as a terrestrial tower replacement for underperforming towers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited at the possibilities this partnership brings to the country. It provides the unique opportunity to connect everyone everywhere and accelerates the benefits that connectivity offers in health, education, and job creation, especially for our women and youth,\u2019\u2019 commented Patricia Obo-Nai, CEO of Vodafone Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Telecel Group recently bought the majority stake in Vodafone Ghana from Vodafone International Holdings.<\/p>\n<p>Lynk provides satellite connectivity directly to unmodified cell phones.
