{"id":5374,"date":"2011-05-30T13:03:28","date_gmt":"2011-05-30T05:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/fy-3b-satellite-goes-into-official-operation\/"},"modified":"2011-05-30T13:03:28","modified_gmt":"2011-05-30T05:03:28","slug":"fy-3b-satellite-goes-into-official-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/fy-3b-satellite-goes-into-official-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"FY-3B Satellite Goes into Official Operation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BEIJING, May 27 (China Space News) \u2014 An in-orbit delivery ceremony for the Fengyun-3B (FY-3B) meteorological satellite was held at the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense on May 26, marking the day the satellite officially went into operation.<\/p>\n<p>The FY-3B satellite, launched on November 5 last year, was transferred from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) to China Meteorological Administration (CMA) after a six-month flawless trial operation in space.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer means China&#8217;s weather satellite system has reached the international advanced level, said a CMA official. <\/p>\n<p>The FY-3B will join the FY-3A, another polar-orbiting sun-synchronous satellite that was launched earlier, to create a comprehensive weather satellite system.
