Intelsat <\/b>announced a refresh of part of its executive suite on Thursday, with new hires for chief financial officer, chief commercial officer, commercial aviation, and corporate communications. These changes come after Intelsat brought on former Raytheon executive David Wajsgras as CEO in March after exiting bankruptcy in February. <\/p>\n
Anthony (Toby) O\u2019Brien will become Intelsat CFO. He most recently served as corporate CFO for Raytheon Technologies and worked for Raytheon Company for more than three decades before its merger with United Technologies. O\u2019Brien succeeds David Tolley in the role. <\/p>\n
Michael DeMarco, currently Intelsat\u2019s chief services officer, will become the new CCO. DeMarco will be responsible for all Intelsat commercial services offerings including product management, sales activities, sales engineering, and pricing. He has been with the company for more than 20 years and was responsible for the company\u2019s digital transformation strategy and delivery of the company\u2019s end-to-end service portfolio.<\/p>\n
Jeff Sare joins Intelsat to lead the company\u2019s Commercial Aviation division as president. He was previously vice president and Connectivity Solutions business segment leader at Panasonic Avionics, and also previously worked for Thales in strategic planning and inflight entertainment and connectivity. Sare will be based with Intelsat\u2019s Commercial Aviation team in Chicago.<\/p>\n
Sare succeeds John Wade, who remained president of Gogo Commercial Aviation when it was acquired by Intelsat in 2020. According to Wade\u2019s LinkedIn profile, he left Intelsat in January. <\/p>\n
In addition, Intelsat also announced Clay McConnell will be the company\u2019s senior vice president of Corporate Communications and Marketing. McConnell comes to Intelsat after three decades in communications at Delta Air Lines and Airbus SAS. <\/p>\n
