The company\u2019s official name will be <strong>Apothym Technologies Group, LLC<\/strong>, but it will continue to be known as ATG.<\/p>\n<p>Envistacom formed the Advanced Technologies business unit three years ago to develop a transport virtualization platform and advanced multi-beam, multi-frequency antenna technologies. Envistacom President Alan Carson said the business has made \u201cgreat strides\u201d in the past three years and this change will allow Envistacom and ATG to focus on their respective markets.<\/p>\n<p>ATG will be headquartered in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, with a research and development center in Frederick, Maryland.&nbsp; Michael Geist, Envistacom\u2019s current senior vice president of Strategy &amp; Technology, will lead the company as president. He will be supported by ATG\u2019s current team and an independent board of directors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re in an unprecedented time of technology advancement in the field of satellite communications.
