The antenna is a Ka-band phased array antenna designed with beam agility to track Non-Geostationary (NGSO) satellites as they move across the sky, and to switch seamlessly between satellites.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ThinKom said it is compatible with new Ka-band networks being deployed in both GEO and NGSO orbits. It is based on ThinKom\u2019s VICTS \u2014 variable inclination continuous transverse stub \u2014 technology used in its other products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new antenna will enable government and enterprise users to maintain reliable \u2018always-on\u2019 mission-critical communications over the entire 3.5 GHz ITU Ka-band spectrum anywhere in the world, including the most remote and challenging environments,\u201d said Bill Milroy, CTO and chairman of ThinKom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The company said the ThinSat Ka500 also meets the U.S. Army\u2019s Capability Sets 25 and 27 (CS25 and CS27) for resilient command, control and communications to support Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)&nbsp; requirements for military wheeled and tracked vehicles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ThinKom is planning for variants of the antenna to provide a simultaneous connection to two satellites for full-duplex \u201cmake before break\u201d connections, as well as Ku- and Ka-band interoperability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ThinKom Solutions is rolling out a new phased array satellite antenna for land mobile applications, ThinSat Ka500.
