The round, announced Wednesday, brings CesiumAstro\u2019s total funding raised to nearly $90 million.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The round also included strategic participation from L3Harris Technologies and returning investors Kleiner Perkins, Lavrock Ventures, Franklin Templeton Blackhorse Fund, and HEICO.<\/p>\n<p>CesiumAstro offers active phased array technologies for satellite and drone communications, missile defense, and in-flight connectivity. Earlier this year, the company \u200breleased an S-band inter-satellite link communications payload called the CommPack. Last year, CesiumAstro launched two satellites as an on-orbit testbed for its phased array technology.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With this latest financing, CesiumAstro plans to accelerate research and development, its rapid manufacturing capabilities, and expand facilities in the U.S. and abroad.
