{"id":56001,"date":"2022-02-03T19:04:06","date_gmt":"2022-02-03T11:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/l3harris-awarded-contract-for-work-on-space-domain-awareness-project-for-us-space-force\/"},"modified":"2022-02-03T19:04:06","modified_gmt":"2022-02-03T11:04:06","slug":"l3harris-awarded-contract-for-work-on-space-domain-awareness-project-for-us-space-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/l3harris-awarded-contract-for-work-on-space-domain-awareness-project-for-us-space-force\/","title":{"rendered":"L3Harris Awarded Contract for Work on Space Domain Awareness Project for US Space Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>U.S. Space Force<\/strong> recently selected <strong>L3Harris Technologies<\/strong> to integrate a space domain awareness project called ATLAS.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ATLAS \u2014 Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System \u2014 is a project that began in 2018 to replace the legacy space management tool Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC), which monitors space objects, processes events like anti-satellite launches, and supports flight operation safety.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Space Systems Command\u2019s Space Command and Control (Space C2) program awarded L3Harris a $49.7 million delivery order on the Starfleet indefinite delivery\/indefinite quantity for ATLAS development. L3Harris will develop, integrate, and deliver a package of astrometric tools to further ATLAS development and modernize SDA mission capabilities.
