{"id":56003,"date":"2022-02-03T21:08:24","date_gmt":"2022-02-03T13:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/iceye-raises-136m-in-series-d-funding-round\/"},"modified":"2022-02-03T21:08:24","modified_gmt":"2022-02-03T13:08:24","slug":"iceye-raises-136m-in-series-d-funding-round","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/iceye-raises-136m-in-series-d-funding-round\/","title":{"rendered":"Iceye Raises $136M in Series D Funding Round"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iceye<\/strong> closed a $136 million Series D funding round, bringing the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) provider\u2019s total funding raised to $304 million. <strong>Seraphim Space<\/strong> led the round, which included new strategic investors <strong>BAE Systems<\/strong> and <strong>Kajima Ventures<\/strong>, who are also customers of Iceye imaging.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other investors Molten Ventures, OTB Ventures, True Ventures, C16 Ventures, Chione Ltd, Services Group of America, the UK\u2019s National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), Space Capital, and Promus Ventures also participated in the funding round.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Iceye is based in Helsinki, Finland, and has 16 satellites on orbit. U.S. subsidiary Iceye US opened a manufacturing facility in Irvine, California, in the past year, and the subsidiary recently received a commercial radar contract from the National Reconnaissance Office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Iceye plans to use this capital for its Natural Catastrophe solutions offering, and to invest in its constellation, global growth, and analytics services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cICEYE has gone from strength-to-strength since we first invested in the company in 2017.
