He will be responsible for leading product development, product management and product marketing as well as expanding Telesat\u2019s international sales team.<\/p>\n<p>Katz has both a satellite and telecommunications background. He most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of Enterprise Solutions for <b>Comcast Business<\/b>, which he helped launch in 2014. He also worked on managed satellite network services for <strong>Spacenet<\/strong>, and worked for <strong>Starband<\/strong>, <strong>Gilat Satellite Networks<\/strong>, <strong>Scientific Atlanta<\/strong>, and <strong>Digital Transmissions Systems<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be joining Dan and the rest of the world-class professionals at Telesat at this transformational moment in Telesat\u2019s long and successful history,\u201d Katz commented. \u201cTelesat Lightspeed will revolutionize global broadband connectivity and I\u2019m looking forward to leveraging my long experience in the communications industry and working with the high-performing Telesat team to deliver the most compelling value proposition in this fast-growing market.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Tom Eaton, previously Telesat\u2019s vice president of International Sales, is moving to the role of president of Telesat Government Solutions.
