The Sirius Basic subscription package launched Oct. 1 with 13 initial channels, five of which are broadcast in HD.<\/p>\n<p>Sirius TV is targeting subscribers in a market of just over 30 million people. The brand&nbsp;will be using capacity on the SES-12 satellite \u2013 SES\u2019s Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellite at 95 degrees East.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Sirius TV will also adopt SES\u2019s Cloud Playout service, which provides a solution which aims to enable an agile and scalable business model as the broadcast and media industries move toward a cloud-focused landscape. SES recently reported it is seeing strong take-up of its Cloud Playout service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to be delivering Sirius TV\u2019s services via the latest broadcasting and content delivery technology from our partners at SES.
