{"id":56526,"date":"2021-10-04T17:47:49","date_gmt":"2021-10-04T09:47:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/nga-renews-maxars-g-egd-imagery-contract-for-second-option-year\/"},"modified":"2021-10-04T17:47:49","modified_gmt":"2021-10-04T09:47:49","slug":"nga-renews-maxars-g-egd-imagery-contract-for-second-option-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/nga-renews-maxars-g-egd-imagery-contract-for-second-option-year\/","title":{"rendered":"NGA Renews Maxar\u2019s G-EGD Imagery Contract for Second Option Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency <\/strong>(NGA) has renewed its contract with <strong>Maxar Technologies<\/strong> to provide imagery and geospatial data for the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (G-EGD) program.<\/p>\n<p>The renewal, which was effective Sept. 1, allows Maxar to continue providing more than 400,000 U.S. government users with unclassified, online and offline, on-demand access to high-resolution commercial imagery from Maxar and geospatial data from other industry providers.<\/p>\n<p>The G-EGD program was established in 2011 to enabled warfighters, first responders, intelligence analysts, and civil government users to tap into historical imagery libraries and daily imagery collections for time-sensitive, mission-critical planning and operations.<\/p>\n<p>By exercising its second of three option years for the contract, the NGA award could be worth an additional $44 million to Maxar, with a total value of up to $176 million if the NGA renews for a third year option.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe G-EGD platform provides U.S. and allied users with access to geospatial intelligence from a variety of industry providers at locations around the globe,\u201d Maxar CEO Dan Jablonsky said in a statement. \u201cThis \u2018one-stop shop\u2019 for commercial imagery access across federal agencies and military branches is an essential element for many national security and humanitarian missions.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has renewed its contract with Maxar Technologies to provide imagery and geospatial data for the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (G-EGD) program.
