Moving forward, the company said that it will reduce the size of its board to five members, four of whom would be independent.<\/p>\n<p>Chambers will join the board at the start of Comtech\u2019s fiscal year 2022 on August 1. She will serve as chair of the board\u2019s Nominating and Governance Committee and oversees Comtech\u2019s corporate governance practices and processes, including its inclusiveness and diversity efforts.<\/p>\n<p>At Meketa, Chambers helps manage the investment consulting firm\u2019s portfolio of more than $1.5 trillion worth of assets under advisement. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the <strong>Community Service Society of New York<\/strong>, a nonprofit focused on alleviating income inequality, and the Advisory Board of the <strong>Jazz Foundation of America<\/strong>, as well as Chair of the Advisory Board of the <strong>Robert Toigo Foundation<\/strong>, which promotes stronger stakeholder returns in the financial industry through inclusion and diversity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross Comtech, we take seriously our responsibilities as an essential provider for the safety and security of communities and advancing economic opportunity for everyone,\u201d said Comtech CEO Fred Kornberg. \u201cTo this end, the Board is committed to maintaining the right mix and balance of skills, experience, diversity and viewpoints through ongoing Board refreshment.
