Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder and chairman of <strong>Bharti Enterprises<\/strong>, and now Executive Chairman of <strong>OneWeb<\/strong> following&nbsp;a massive $500 million investment into the operator, will deliver SATELLITE 2021\u2019s opening keynote address on Wednesday, September 8th at 8:30am EDT at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>Bharti Mittal\u2019s business portfolio spans investments in telecom (including <strong>Bharti Airtel<\/strong>), space, insurance, real estate, hospitality and food, as well as joint ventures with several global leaders:<strong> SingTel, SoftBank, AXA, Del Monte<\/strong>, the UK Government, among others.<\/p>\n<p>During his first ever appearance at SATELLITE, Bharti Mittal will discuss the recent partnership with the UK Government that led to the acquisition of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation operator OneWeb, as well his role as the company\u2019s majority shareholder, alongside investors that include <b>Eutelsat, Hughes Network Systems,&nbsp;<\/b>and SoftBank.<\/p>\n<p>Bharti Mittal\u2019s keynote will be immediately followed by SATELLITE 2021\u2019s Wednesday opening general session, featuring <strong>SES<\/strong> CEO Steve Collar, <strong>Telesat<\/strong> CEO Dan Goldberg, <strong>SpaceX<\/strong> President and COO Gwynne Shotwell, <strong>Isotropic Systems<\/strong> Founder John Finner, <strong>ST Engineering iDirect<\/strong> CEO Kevin Steen, and <strong>Facebook<\/strong>\u2018s Head of Connectivity Dan Rabinovitsj.
