The company announced June 22 that it had reached a multi-year deal with <strong>Vox<\/strong>, an end-to-end integrated infrastructure and telecoms company to enable high-speed connectivity throughout South Africa. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Vox will use Eutelsat KONNECT, Eutelsat\u2019s new-generation High Throughput Satellite (HTS), and Eutelsat\u2019s service to further grow its satellite customer base in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to be partnering with Eutelsat to provide solutions that connect South Africans by supporting customers, entrepreneurs, and commerce, whilst guaranteeing service excellence. We are confident that Eutelsat\u2019s unparalleled in-orbit assets, together with its unrivalled customer support will be a great benefit to a growing number of customers,\u201d Jacques Visser, head of wireless at Vox said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Eutelsat\u2019s KONNECT satellite, which covers Africa and Europe, entered service in November 2020.
