This system is based on Northrop Grumman\u2019s lightweight Compact Telescoping Array (CTA) design, which was developed for missions that require extremely compact stowage volume for spacecraft launch while remaining lightweight.<\/p>\n<p>Northrop Grumman said the CTA design creates enough space to allow for three full spacecraft to be launched on a single rocket.<\/p>\n<p>The new contract award with Airbus also includes terms that will see Northrop Grumman to provide heat pipes as part of OneSat\u2019s payload thermal management system, as well as propellant tanks in support of OneSat\u2019s mono-propellant propulsion system.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement disclosed neither the financial details, nor the deadlines associated with the contract.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Northrop Grumman will design, develop, and produce 24 ship sets of solar arrays for Airbus\u2018 new OneSat Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO) satellite product line under the terms of a new contract award announced May 3.
