This deployment is the second collaboration between Globalstar and Nokia at a U.S. Port.<\/p>\n<p>Globalstar\u2019s Band 53 is a mid-band spectrum resource that the company offers partners for customers that otherwise would not have access to the benefits of licensed spectrum.&nbsp;In November 2019, Globalstar and Nokia deployed a digitalization platform&nbsp;based on Nokia\u2019s wireless Digital Automation Cloud platform together with Globalstar\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>3rd Generation Partnership Project<\/strong>&nbsp;(3GPP) Band 53 spectrum.<\/p>\n<p>Jay Monroe, executive chairman of Globalstar, commented: \u201cWe are excited to be a part of this opportunity with Tideworks and Nokia. Band 53 offers partners secure and reliable connectivity in any environment.
