Voyager Space Holdings<\/b> announced Thursday that it plans to acquire The Launch Company<\/b>, which develops standardized hardware and works to support launches through automation. A financial component to the deal was not disclosed, and the deal is subject to customary closing conditions. <\/p>\n
The Launch Company is based in Anchorage, Alaska, and is working to build the world\u2019s first multi-user mobile launch site that will serve both small and large launch vehicles. The company was recently selected as a finalist in the U.S. Air Forc<\/strong>e AFWERX Challenge and is working on a prototype of the site. The company has also worked with Virgin Orbit, Relativity Space, and Firefly Space. <\/p>\n \u201cVoyager\u2019s proposal to acquire The Launch Company was an easy decision because it will allow us to scale up our services even more rapidly while also giving us the ability to focus on that growth rather than spending resources on the time-consuming requirements that running a growing business entails,\u201d CEO Ben Kellie commented. <\/p>\n Voyager is a privately held global holding company that acquires and operates space companies with the goal of offering vertically integrated mission capabilities. Earlier this year it acquired Pioneer Astronautics and Altius Space Machines.
