The Red Compartida shared network currently provides 4G LTE broadband mobile voice and data service to more than 60 million Mexicans and aims to cover more than 92% of the Mexican population by 2024. Alt\u00e1n Executive Deployment Director Fernando Bellido said Hispasat\u2019s backhaul solution will allow its rollout to progress more quickly in Mexico\u2019s most underserved areas.<\/p>\n
Hispasat said that it has optimized the throughput of the Gilat <\/b>SkyEdge IIC platform, which operates Ka-band, to meet Alt\u00e1n\u2019s availability and latency requirements. The Spanish operator is also offering Alt\u00e1n a managed service including satellite equipment and the installation, operation, and maintenance of the service.<\/p>\n
