{"id":59811,"date":"2020-05-01T18:17:46","date_gmt":"2020-05-01T10:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/l3harris-receives-dod-contracts-for-manpack-radios-terminal-support\/"},"modified":"2020-05-01T18:17:46","modified_gmt":"2020-05-01T10:17:46","slug":"l3harris-receives-dod-contracts-for-manpack-radios-terminal-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/l3harris-receives-dod-contracts-for-manpack-radios-terminal-support\/","title":{"rendered":"L3Harris Receives DoD Contracts for Manpack Radios, Terminal Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><strong>L3Harris<\/strong> has received $95 million from the U.S. Army to continue delivering AN\/PRC-158 two-channel, software-defined manpack radios, which will be utilized in the service\u2019s Integrated Tactical Network evaluation in late summer, the company announced April 29.<\/p>\n<p>The latest deal is the company\u2019s third low-rate initial production order for manpack radios under the $12.7 billion multi-award Handheld, Manpack and Small Form Fit (HMS) program, which also includes <strong>Collins Aerospace<\/strong> and France\u2019s <strong>Thales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cL3Harris is proud to deliver the most critical part of the U.S. Army\u2019s Integrated Tactical Network, enabling secure multi-mission capability in the most challenging and contested environments,\u201d Dana Mehnert, L3Harris\u2019 president of Communication Systems, said in a statement. \u201cThe AN\/PRC-158 will equip soldiers with cutting-edge waveforms, providing resilient satcom and advanced wideband networking at the tactical edge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Separately, on April 29, the Defense Logistics Agency announced that L3Harris was also awarded a maximum of about $50 million in a firm-fixed-price, Indefinite-Delivery\/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for spare parts to support the Phoenix satellite terminal. The contrac to support the AN\/TSC-156D Tactical Super High Frequency Satellite Terminal has a&nbsp; five-year base with one five-year option period.
