{"id":61202,"date":"2019-11-04T19:21:02","date_gmt":"2019-11-04T11:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/china-launches-gaofen-7-earth-observation-satellite\/"},"modified":"2019-11-04T19:21:02","modified_gmt":"2019-11-04T11:21:02","slug":"china-launches-gaofen-7-earth-observation-satellite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/china-launches-gaofen-7-earth-observation-satellite\/","title":{"rendered":"China Launches Gaofen-7 Earth Observation Satellite"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, China launched a new Earth Observation (EO) satellite, Gaofen-7, which aims to play an important role in land surveying and mapping, urban and rural construction, and statistical investigation, according to the <strong>China National Space Administration<\/strong> (CNSA).<\/p>\n<p>The Gaofen-7, launched on a Long March-4B rocket at 11:22 a.m. (Beijing Time) from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China\u2019s Shanxi Province, is China\u2019s first civil-use optical transmission three-dimensional surveying and mapping satellite that reaches the sub-meter level, CNSA said.<\/p>\n<p>The satellite and carrier rocket were developed by the <strong>China Academy of Space Technology<\/strong> (CAST) and the <strong>Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology<\/strong> under the <strong>China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation<\/strong>.
