This isn\u2019t DISH\u2019s first foray into blockchain as they began accepting <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong> for payment in 2014 and last year announced it would accept Bitcoin Cash.<\/p>\n<p>GoChain\u2019s Proof of Reputation (PoR) consensus algorithm relies on \u201creputable\u201d validators like DISH to sign blocks. PoR has several advantages over its predecessor, Proof of Work (PoW), which is used as the consensus algorithm for Bitcoin and <strong>Ethereum<\/strong>. According to the release, the main benefits of PoR are that it\u2019s faster, greener, and much more Enterprise friendly. GoChain\u2019s PoR is in excess of 1000 times greener than PoW. At scale, GoChain\u2019s PoR validator network is designed to have 50 Enterprise companies signing blocks.<\/p>\n<p>DISH Chief Information Officer, Atilla Tinic said, \u201cWe are curious about new and interesting technology that may help us better deliver for our customers.
