{"id":62646,"date":"2019-04-09T00:47:41","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T16:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/maxar-to-ship-nasas-restore-l-spacecraft-in-2020\/"},"modified":"2019-04-09T00:47:41","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T16:47:41","slug":"maxar-to-ship-nasas-restore-l-spacecraft-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/maxar-to-ship-nasas-restore-l-spacecraft-in-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Maxar to Ship NASA\u2019s Restore-L Spacecraft in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maxar Technologies<\/strong>&nbsp;has completed a Critical Design Review (CDR) for&nbsp;the on-orbit servicing spacecraft bus it is building for <strong>NASA\u2019s<\/strong> Restore-L project, and is on track to ship the bus to NASA in 2020 for integration with its payload in time for its scheduled launch in 2022.&nbsp;The CDR took place over a five-day period at Maxar\u2019s Silicon Valley manufacturing facility.<\/p>\n<p>Maxar is working with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center\u2019s Satellite Servicing Projects Division (SSPD) on the Restore-L project, which aims to refuel satellites in Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) and also validate the use of tools, technologies and techniques developed that enable future exploration missions and new satellite servicing options for government and commercial customers. The Restore-L spacecraft bus design is based on Maxar\u2019s 1300-class platform.
