This is subject to customary adjustments, with additional earn-out payments of up to $8 million based on future performance.<\/p>\n<p>The cornerstone of Nuvotronics\u2019 innovation platform is their patented PolyStrata technology, which was developed under the <strong>Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency<\/strong>&nbsp;(DARPA). This helps enable the company to design and produce uniquely packaged RF devices, such as antennas, filters and combiners. With the acquisition of Nuvotronics, Cubic expects to accelerate multiple innovation initiatives across Cubic\u2019s protected communications portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCubic provides integrated mission solutions to solve our customers\u2019 most challenging problems. Nuvotronics\u2019 high-performance, reduced Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) capability further strengthens Cubic\u2019s offering in our&nbsp;high-growth, high-margin Cubic Mission Solutions business,\u201d said Cuic Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)&nbsp;Bradley H. Feldmann.
