{"id":63475,"date":"2018-12-07T19:25:45","date_gmt":"2018-12-07T11:25:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/competition-appeal-tribunal-rules-in-favor-of-inmarsat-ofcom\/"},"modified":"2018-12-07T19:25:45","modified_gmt":"2018-12-07T11:25:45","slug":"competition-appeal-tribunal-rules-in-favor-of-inmarsat-ofcom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/competition-appeal-tribunal-rules-in-favor-of-inmarsat-ofcom\/","title":{"rendered":"Competition Appeal Tribunal Rules in Favor of Inmarsat, Ofcom"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>The Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) in London ruled in favor of <strong>Inmarsat<\/strong> and <strong>Ofcom<\/strong>.&nbsp;The CAT handed down its judgment dealing with <strong>Viasat<\/strong>\u2019s challenge to Ofcom\u2019s January authorization of Inmarsat\u2019s U.K. complementary ground component (CGC), forming part of Inmarsat\u2019s European Aviation Network (EAN).<\/p>\n<p>The Tribunal comprehensively found in favor of Ofcom and Inmarsat, and determined that all of Viasat\u2019s arguments failed. On that basis, the Tribunal dismissed Viasat\u2019s case.
