Viasat and <strong>Ubix<\/strong>, a wholesale satellite internet and telecommunications company, formed a strategic partnership to bring high-speed satellite internet to enterprises, businesses, and federal programs across Mexico. Viasat also introduced Viasat Urban Wi-Fi, a new satellite-enabled Wi-Fi service for cities throughout&nbsp;Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Ubix will sell, install and provide customer support for Viasat\u2019s satellite internet service to businesses throughout Mexico. Viasat currently has satellite internet coverage over Mexico with its ViaSat-2 satellite.<\/p>\n<p>Viasat Urban Wi-Fi is being deployed first in&nbsp;Mexico City, with plans to bring its broadband service nationwide by the end of 2019.&nbsp;Major Mexican cities expected to receive the service, include&nbsp;Cabo San Lucas,&nbsp;Guadalajara,&nbsp;Guanajuato,&nbsp;Puebla,&nbsp;Tijuana,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Veracruz, among others.&nbsp;Viasat Urban Wi-Fi may also be used to supplement existing cellular networks in times of natural disaster or national security relief.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Viasat made two important expansions in its Mexican market.
