Elected officials and representatives from local utilities attended the opening event to learn about new innovation in the leak detection sector and the company\u2019s upcoming pilot project for the City of San Diego, where Utilis will provide 100 points of interest signifying possible leaks.<\/p>\n<p>Utilis is the world\u2019s only leak detection provider that uses satellite remote sensing, according to the release.&nbsp;Utilis analyzes satellite imagery to detect leaks, which are processed by the company\u2019s unique algorithms. The data is then displayed in Geopolitical Intelligence Services (GIS) reports, which include a map with street and pipe locations.<\/p>\n<p>Utilis chose San Diego for its second location due to the availability of&nbsp; talent and California\u2019s interest in water conservation.
