The joint Canada-Israel endeavor will combine both company\u2019s engineering capabilities to conduct live testing using Gilat modem technology over the Telesat Phase-1 LEO satellite launched earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project will allow us to demonstrate the high performance and low latency advantages of Telesat\u2019s LEO constellation to our tier-1 aeronautical, maritime, and enterprise customers,\u201d Telesat Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Dave Wendling said in the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> Canada-Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation <\/strong>(CIIRDF) will fund the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gilat Satellite Networks is teaming up with Telesat to develop a broadband communications technology using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
