In preparation for the hurricane season, which officially begins tomorrow and runs through&nbsp;Nov. 30, Sprint took a number of actions to strengthen its network including continued investment of&nbsp;new cell sites and small cell technology that help to significantly boost capacity and data speeds&nbsp;throughout coastal areas.<\/p>\n<p>The company ensured emergency response equipment such as Satellite Cell Sites on Light Trucks (SatCOLT) and Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) are ready to deploy&nbsp;during emergency events. It has also installed pumps and&nbsp;raised the equipment platforms&nbsp;at flood-prone sites, added alarms&nbsp;to help identify water intrusion, performed ongoing maintenance,&nbsp;ensured fixed and portable generators are topped off with fuel, and reviewed portable generator storage locations.
