The GSC\u2019s ultimate objective is to secure an ecosystem that allows every world citizen to be connected.<\/p>\n<p>The founding partners of the GSC include the following organizations: the <strong>Brazilian Association of Satellite Telecommunications Companies<\/strong> (Abrasat); the <strong>Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council<\/strong> (APSCC); the <strong>Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia<\/strong> (CASBAA); the<strong> EMEA Satellite Operators Association<\/strong>; the<strong> Global VSAT Forum<\/strong>; and the <strong>Satellite Industry Association <\/strong>(SIA).<\/p>\n<p>Responding to the pace of change in the digital world and demands for connectivity, the GSC aims to foster awareness and understanding of satellite industry innovations and their implications for spectrum and regulatory policymaking and market development.<\/p>\n<p>The GSC\u2019s priority is to advocate the role of satellite in achieving complete connectivity from contributing to the <strong>United Nations\u2019<\/strong> (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Broadband Commission\u2019s connectivity objectives to realizing the \u201cnetwork of networks\u201d required for 5G.
