Rocket Lab\u2019s Electron orbital launch vehicle will carry two Earth-imaging Dove satellites for&nbsp;Planet and two Lemur 2 satellites from&nbsp;Spire&nbsp;for weather mapping and ship traffic tracking.<\/p>\n<p>The flight is the second of three in Rocket Lab\u2019s Electron test program and follows the successful inaugural Electron test flight carried out on May 25.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Beck, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rocket Lab, says carrying a test payload enables the company to gather crucial data and test systems for the deployment stage of a mission.<\/p>\n<p>The Electron vehicle for the \u201cStill Testing\u201d flight will be trucked to Rocket Lab\u2019s Launch Complex 1 in October, with a launch window to open in the weeks following once vehicle checks are complete.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled with Electron\u2019s performance in the first test flight and now we\u2019re eager to test the next crucial step \u2014 payload deployment.
