According to ViaSat, the new office is a signal of growth for the company and represents the need for new technologies and services across data communications in the APAC region specifically.<\/p>\n<p>Establishing&nbsp;Melbourne&nbsp;as the location of its APAC headquarters will enable the company to further build on commitments made to existing customers, including <strong>nbn<\/strong> and <strong>Qantas<\/strong>, as well as expand its services and support efforts in the region, ViaSat said.<\/p>\n<p>The office will also serve as the base for many of ViaSat\u2019s regional innovations, including its next-generation ultra-high capacity satellite platform known as ViaSat 3. According to the company, ViaSat 3 is poised to deliver more than 1 Tbps of total network capacity to the region, which could power 100 mbps internet service to homes and High Definition (HD) video-streaming Wi-Fi on commercial and government aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, ViaSat has opened offices in&nbsp;India, and grown its presence within&nbsp;Australia, with three offices in the country and teams in&nbsp;Melbourne,&nbsp;Sydney&nbsp;and&nbsp;Canberra.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ViaSat has opened its new Asia-Pacific (APAC) headquarters, located in Melbourne, Australia.
