These systems provide vital communications links for&nbsp;deployed&nbsp;U.S. Army&nbsp;and&nbsp;Joint&nbsp;Forces&nbsp;in Europe,&nbsp;the Middle East, and Africa&nbsp;for training and&nbsp;operational&nbsp;missions.<\/p>\n<p>The Landstuhl Teleport is the largest <strong>U.S. Army<\/strong> satcom facility overseas and provides<strong> U.S. Department of Defense<\/strong> (DOD) warfighters anywhere on the ground, air, and sea on five continents and three oceans with the communications necessary to conduct defense operations.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 9, the U.S. Army awarded Envistacom a $10 million, five-year contract to support the U.S. Army&nbsp;2nd&nbsp;Theater&nbsp;Signal&nbsp;Brigade and 102nd&nbsp;Strategic Signal Battalion, with the work carried out at the Landstuhl facility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Envistacom, a technology company that offers counterterrorism, cyber and communications solutions to the United States and coalition partners, has awarded UltiSat a subcontract to provide Tier 2 technical support of its teleport and Regional Hub Node (RHN) at the Enterprise Satellite Communications Gateway Facility (ESG-L) located in Landstuhl, Germany.
