Designed as an upgrade to the Republic of Kiribati\u2019s fixed and mobile network infrastructure, the fully operational deployment leverages the Genband Application Server and <strong>Kandy <\/strong>Business Solutions for cloud-based applications. This hybrid offer enables Vodafone Fiji to deliver hosted UC services via satellite links to Kiribati through local provider <strong>Amalgamated Telecoms Holdings Kiribati Limited<\/strong> (ATHKL).<\/p>\n<p>Genband provides Vodafone Fiji with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking services, voice over satellite, local media anchoring, and Primary Rate Interface (PRI) gateways. Vodafone Fiji uses Genband\u2019s Application Server to deliver country-specific hosted billing from its Suva base, while Kandy Business Solutions enables web collaboration, auto-attendant, voicemail and web Real-Time Communications (RTC) applications.<\/p>\n<p>Kiribati&nbsp;customers can access mobile, UC services or SIP trunk connectivity via the prepaid system, acquiring only the services they need. According to Genband, this billing model further extends cost efficiencies and leverages existing billing infrastructure investments.
