Revenue for the quarter was in line with expectations at 755 million euros ($804 million), down 0.9 percent like-for-like. Net income was 192 million euros ($204 million), up 2.2 percent. There was also strong growth in discretionary free cash flow, up 27 percent to 325 million euros ($346 million).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are on track to reach our current and three-year objectives thanks to a solid commercial performance,\u201d said Rodolphe Belmer, CEO of Eutelsat. \u201cWe are making strong progress in our newly defined connectivity business line, with the lease of the [High Throughput Satellite] HTS payload on Eutelsat-3B for in-flight connectivity on <strong>Saudi Arabian Airlines<\/strong>, and contracts on Ka-Sat for in-flight connectivity for <strong>SAS<\/strong> and <strong>Finnair<\/strong>. By securing Ka-band capacity from <strong>Yahsat<\/strong> we will also launch our African broadband initiative with only a slight delay relative to the original plan.
