The platform has more than 15 channels available in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) formats.<\/p>\n<p>Equipped with 24 Ku-band transponders covering Thailand, South Asia, and Africa, Thaicom 8 entered service in July 2016 at 78.5 degrees east longitude.
