The investments are to enable operators to receive content through both standard and extended C-band, which is less vulnerable to interference, in order to promote the use of the latter type of frequency in the audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n<p>Hispamar expects all the equipment from the incentives program to be installed by the end of September, at which point pay-TV operators in Brazil will have the option to use extended C-band from Amazonas 2, along with the ability to receive content through standard C-band from the collocated Amazonas 3 satellite.
