The contract represents a significant addition to the company\u2019s Atlantic Ocean region capacity that it has on Telstar 11N. The capacity expands Globecomm\u2019s geographic coverage and services to its customers in the media, maritime, government and Internet of Things (IoT) markets.<\/p>\n<p>Globecomm chose Telstar 12 Vantage\u2019s Ku-band payload to expand the reach of its DTH video footprint across sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. The increased power and larger service area is providing Globecomm with the capability to grow its DTH subscriber base. Globecomm\u2019s new services through Telstar 12 Vantage also use the company\u2019s terrestrial fiber network between its Long Island, New York and Laurel, Maryland international teleports.
