Inmarsat selected RigNet as its preferred partner to launch GX into the oil and gas industry in 2013. In January 2014, RigNet purchased Inmarsat\u2019s enterprise energy business.<\/p>\n<p>GX is comprised of a system of three satellites, providing worldwide coverage in Ka-band from a single operator.
