The modem is a software-defined radio based on Orbcomm\u2019s satellite modem platform.<\/p>\n<p>With a footprint nearly 50 percent smaller than a credit card, both Orbcomm\u2019s OG2 and OGi modems&nbsp;use the same electrical and application interfaces, including the connectors, power input and programming environment. This interchangeable format enables customers to plug-n-play satellite connectivity from Orbcomm\u2019s Very High Frequency (VHF) network&nbsp;and\/or Inmarsat\u2019s L-band network&nbsp;without the need to redesign their&nbsp;Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Data delivery for both the Orbcomm and Inmarsat networks is transmitted through Orbcommconnect, which serves as a common interface.
