Once customers purchase blocks, they can request option files with 48 hours\u2019\u2028notice for any region in the world in which a block has\u2028been purchased.<\/p>\n<p>According to Lepton, the block\u2028network removes major obstacles to ensuring a communications capability for signal officers while saving immensely on time and costs. To date, the company has sold more than 100 blocks of global service to <b>U.S. Department of Defense<\/b> (DoD) units on its <b>iDirect<\/b> managed services network.<\/p>\n<p>Lepton estimates that customers recognize an average cost savings of 65 percent using month-long blocks, rather than longer-term agreement.
