The renewed agreement includes ongoing provision of voice and data connectivity through Sealink, Marlink\u2019s C-band VSAT solution for Polarcus\u2019 fleet of seismic vessels.<\/p>\n<p>Polarcus and Marlink will also migrate the seismic fleet from a dedicated configuration to a shared non-contended configuration using the new <b>iDirect<\/b> X7 modem. The iDirect upgrade will enable a Maximum Information Rate (MIR) of 1536\/3096 Kbps as a burstable bandwidth increase for greater throughput. Polarcus is also getting a faster link, with an increased Committed Information Rate (CIR) of 512\/1536 Kbps as part of the contract extension.<\/p>\n<p>Polarcus\u2019 seismic fleet is considered one of the most environmentally friendly in operation today.
