The initial Authorization to Proceed (ATP) is valued at approximately&nbsp;CA$11 million ($8.4 million), and is expected to lead to a full contract in excess of&nbsp;CA$45 million ($34.4 million). The prime contractor could not be identified for contractual reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Com Dev will supply multiplexers, switches and other microwave components designed for the customer\u2019s newest-generation satellite platform.&nbsp;Each satellite will fly in Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) and include both traditional and High Throughput Satellite (HTS) payload equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe trend toward HTS payloads creates an opportunity for us to provide up to three times the equipment we would for a traditional broadcast payload.
