The first is a quick-deploy 1.5-meter Ku\/Ka vehicle mount that weighs less than 200 lbs. The second is a 70-centimeter axi-symmetrical manual flyaway antenna that weighs less than 40 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>AvL Technologies\u2019 new 1.5-m antenna features a pallet for roof mounting on a standard van or truck, an auto-acquisition controller, and the company\u2019s zero-backlash cable drive for stiffness and accurate pointing for Ka-band operation. The 70-cm flyaway antenna fits into airline carry-on compliant backpacks, and is designed to meet the U.S. <b>Federal Communications Commission\u2019s<\/b> (FCC) currently proposed rule for Ka-band apertures. The antenna also features an eight-piece segmented carbon fiber reflector.
