The adaptor provides sufficient throughput for Ultra-HD video and streaming media services to any DirecTV-ready television without requiring a separate Set-Top Box (STB).<\/p>\n<p>The new USB MoCA adapter uses Entropic\u2019s fourth-generation MoCA 1.1 solution, EN2562, making it small enough to sit behind a television. The device draws power from the television USB port. Using the adapter, viewers can stream premium content from the Genie server.<\/p>\n<p>DirecTV began offering 4K programs in November 2014 through a partnership with <b>Samsung<\/b>. The recently launched DirecTV 14 satellite and the upcoming DirecTV 15 satellite are expected to provide additional capacity for Ultra-HD broadcasts.
