Laser Light is planning a constellation of eight to 12 Medium Earth Orbiting (MEO) satellites for a global, optical SpaceCable service with a completed operating system capacity of 6.2 Tbps. The constellation includes satellite-to-satellite optical cross-links and satellite-to-ground optical uplink and downlink of 200 Gbps. Through this partnership, Laser Light intends to integrate its SpaceCable service offering with Pacnet\u2019s terrestrial network facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Pacnet is the owner and operator of the EAC-C2C submarine telecommunications cable system. Stretching 36,800 km, EAC-C2C has a design capacity of 10.24 Tbps.
