The awards support a U.S. government program aimed at transitioning from the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) Low Volume Terminals (LVTs) to tactical data links with a certified, reprogrammable, software defined radio architecture.<\/p>\n<p>ViaSat and Data Link Solutions will work on the MIDS Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) as part of the MIDS Indefinite Delivery\/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract initially executed in March 2010.
